CombatAUS Chair Les Young welcomes Katrina and Kate to the Board.
“It is a true honour to be joined by such extraordinary people. Katrina and Kate will further strengthen one of the highest calibre boards I have served on. I look forward to working with them on our road to Paris and beyond,” he said.
Mr Young also thanked the Nominations Committee Chair Anne Gripper and her committee for their ongoing work in ensuring high quality candidates were presented to the Board.
Anne Gripper said “It is a pleasure contributing to the Olympic combat sports in Australia as the independent Chair of the CombatAUS Nominations Committee. The commitment of the representatives from each Member Sport who sit on the Nominations Committee, together with the trust and autonomy the CombatAUS Board places in the committee demonstrates excellent governance. I wish Katrina and Kate all the best in their new appointments.”
With these appointments, the CombatAUS Board comprises seven Directors and has a 71% female gender representation.
